Chicken drumsticks in mushroom sauce

  • Ingredients

    • 3 chicken drumsticks
    • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
    • 100 g diced onion
    • 25 g diced celery
    • 25 g sliced mushroom
    • 10 g diced carrot
    • 10 g sliced leek
    • Chicken broth


    • Cook and stir in heated oil, chicken drumsticks, onion and mushroom, long enough for the colors to change.
    • Fill a Mason style glass jar of 500 ml capacity to the rim with the ingredients. Fill with chicken broth to the rim. Place lid, close and shake.
    • Place in a big pot of boiling water covering the jar up to the rim and let cook for 55 minutes. After the cooking time, take the pot out using tongs and let cool.

    *The measurements and quantities are approximate as the goal is to fill the pot.
